The safety circuit prevents the shock and vibration of the vehicle by suppressing the operation of the damper clutch when the vehicle is moving backward. The circuit comprises a regulator valve for adjusting the hydraulic-pressure from the oil pump; a torque-convertor control valve for adjusting the hydraulic-pressure of the torque convertor or the lubricant; a damper clutch control valve(28) for controlling the hydraulic pressure of the damper clutch; a pressure reducing valve(29) for controlling the hydraulic pressure below the line pressure; a plug(20) mounted on the valve(28); a control line(30) for supplying the hydraulic pressure to the plug in connection connected with the hydraulic line of the rear clutch. The movement of the valve spool(19) is controlled by the increased pressure of the valve(29) when the vehicle is moving backward.
