A photographic material comprises a support coated with composite image dispersion forming layer(s) (I) and on one or both sides of that layer antioxidising layer(s) (II) having a m.pt. higher than (I), (I) is partially oxidised, pref. to a degree of 0.5-80%, expressed in optical density. Pref. (I) is chosen from Bi, Tl and/or their alloys. Pref. (II) is Al2O3, silicon monoxide or dioxide, and/or their mixts. The support is pref. polyethylene terephthalate or cellulose acetate. Used for producing images by direct exposure without requiring development and fixation. Unlike the material in GB 1402760, the present one gives images with excellent stability, is highly sensitive and has excellent resolution. |
