PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waste of time and money in a conference by automatically setting bandwidth according to the number of participants. SOLUTION: When a terminal 101 desires to hold a communication conference that includes a terminal 106 during taking part in a communication call from communication terminals 101 and 104, the terminal 101 sends an appropriate control signal to an exchange node 102 via a PRI link 111 and makes the terminal 104 a hold state. Then it starts a communication call to the terminal 106. A user of the terminal 106 decides to participate in the call from the terminal 101, and the call is established between the terminals 101 and 106. Next, the terminal 101 sends a control signal to the node 102 and forms a communication conference among the terminals 101, 104 and 106. On the other hand, when the terminal 106 is in the middle of communication or does not accept a call, the terminal 101 reduces the bandwidth of a communication call between the 101 and 106 to a slow data call. Although a conference call is established, the terminal 106 transmits and receives only the data that go via a data link from the terminal 101. |
