<p>PURPOSE:To provide the remote controller in which a cursor is moved and an icon is selected on a display device without a desk or a base. CONSTITUTION:In the remote controller where a cursor displayed on a display screen of a remote control section 1 to be controlled is moved on an icon displayed on the screen and selected by moving a remote control section 1 in air and a command is given for the control, the remote control section 1 is provided with a motion detection means 2 detecting a motion of the remote control section to generate signal representing th motion and with a selector switch 9 operated to select an icon displayed on the screen. The motion is detected by the detection of an angular velocity or an acceleration of the remote control section. A means detecting a relevant position of the display device may be used in place of the motion detector.</p> |
