Urine crystals are separated at the urine inlet (41) into a first chamber (A), and bacteria, viruses and algae are removed using an ionisation unit (10) inside a second chamber (B). Both chambers contain filter devices (8, 12). A sewage treatment apparatus (2) is provided with inlets (41-43) for urine, faeces, water and rinsing/cleaning liquid, leading into a first chamber with a urine crystal separation device (6) connected to the urine inlet. Solid particles are separated using a filter device inside the first chamber. Connected to this chamber is a second chamber containing an ionisation unit for removing bacteria, viruses and algae, and a filter device connected to the first chamber and ionisation unit for removing solid particles. An outlet pipe (14) for purified liquid is connected to the second chamber. An Independent claim is also included for the sewage treatment process using this apparatus, flocking being carried out in the second chamber, and the ionisation, flocking and filtering steps in the second chamber being repeated several times. |
