DEVICE FOR PREVENTING DUST IN CONVERTER EXHAUST GAS TREATING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load to the removing work of deposited dust into an annular groove and to make elevating/lowering of a skirt smooth by laying a ring cover having the outer diameter smaller by a little than the inner diameter of a partition cylinder so as to be loosely shifted, on the upper end of inner wall of the annular groove arranged at the outer periphery of a hood. SOLUTION: A hood 2 guiding exhaust gas to a flue 1 is arranged above the furnace opening hole part 11 of a converter 10 and the partition cylinder 3 is attached downward to the outer periphery of the hood 2. A draining water groove 6 is arranged at the periphery of upper edge part of the outside wall 5 of an annular groove 8 formed of an inside wall 4, outside wall 5 and bottom plate 7. The annular groove 8 is fixed around the skirt 12 through an upper side annular connecting member 9 and vertically shifted together with the skirt 12. The inner part of the annular groove 8 is filled with sealing water 13 and the partition cylinder 3 is water-sealed by dipping into the annular groove. The ring cover 16 having the outer diameter smaller by a little than the inner diameter of the partition cylinder 3 is laid on the upper end part of the inside wall 4 of the annular groove 8 and loosely shifted along the inner wall of the partition cylinder 3.
