METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING TEXTURE COORDINATES IN COMPUTER GRAPHICS

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for deciding a texture coordinates in a computer graphic are provided to detect a texture coordinates of texels by obtaining texels corresponding to pixels. CONSTITUTION: Values of TC'1 and w' as corrected texture coordinates are obtained. A signal indicating the w' value is provided to a circuit having a reference table. The circuit searches an inverse value from the reference table in order to generate a value of 1/w. A value of TC1 as the texture coordinates is obtained by multiplying the TC1' as the corrected texture coordinates by 1/w. A texel value is obtained by using the TC1 value as the texture coordinates. The texel value is used for correcting an image of a point Q'. A computer displays the corrected image of the point Q'.
