PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus which is capable of synthesizing waveforms of various timbres, suppressing noise generation at the time of waveform synthesis and adding diversified timbre changes by adding the change difference between a freshly set synthesis ratio and a current synthesis ratio to the arithmetic waveform already stored into arithmetic waveform memories. SOLUTION: The synthesis ratio by each of respective pieces of the currently set element waveform data is stored into current synthesis rate registers CRATE (0) to CRATE (7). The arithmetic waveform data subjected to waveform synthesis according to the synthesis ratios stored in these current synthesis rate registers CRATE (0) to CRATE (7) is previously stored into the corresponding arithmetic waveform memories CWM1 and CWM2. When the synthesis rate changes according to slider manipulation, the element waveform data is multiplied by this change difference with the changed synthesis ratio as a target value and the result of the multiplication is added to the arithmetic waveform data already stored in the arithmetic waveform memories CWM1 and CWM2. |
