<p>PURPOSE:To secure protection of an occupant at the time of collision of a vehicle by deflecting and regulating the gas discharge direction in the air bag central direction. CONSTITUTION:This device is furnished with a housing having an opening 16 opened to the side of a car room, an inflator 12 having an air bag to be stored in the housing and a gas exhaust nozzle 21 on one end part and a plate 26 interposed between the inflator 12 and the air bag, and a gas discharge port 29 and a deflecting plate 30 to deflect and regulate the gas discharge direction in the air bag central direction are formed at a portion corresponding with the gas exhaust nozzle 21 of the plate 26.</p> |
