<p>A modulated signal generator contributing to increasing the speed of signal processing and facilitating adaptation to special and new formats. A modulation program for producing an original disc (320) of an optical disc is previously stored in modulation storage section (130). The information data recorded on an optical disc master (310) is reproduced by an information reproduction section (110) and outputted into a modulation control section (120). The modulation control section (120) subjects the reproduced information data to a modulation signal processing according to the modulation signal processing program so as to create a data stream and stores it in a modulation information storage section (140) if necessary. The modulation control section (120) outputs the created data stream to a modulation signal output section (150) when the data stream is created or outputs the data stream stored in the modulation information storage section (140) to the modulation signal output section (150). The modulation signal output section (150) outputs the data stream to a laser beam recorder (200) with a predetermined clock. The modulation signal generator can be applied to production of an optical disc such as a CD, MD, or DVD.</p> |
