PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an air chamber for a large-sized float by which the air chamber of a desired shape can readily be formed and a thick latex layer can be formed in a part of a large texture when the air chamber for the large-sized float is produced. SOLUTION: This method for producing the air chamber for the large-sized float comprises a step of cutting a base fabric into a desired size, forming the cut base fabric into a cylindrical shape, forming a cylindrical body 11, covering both opened ends of the cylindrical body 11 with cloth bodies 12 and providing an air chamberlike body 13, a step of injecting a latex solution 4 into the air chamberlike body 13 and a step of applying a latex coagulating liquid 5 from the outside of the air chamberlike body 13. The method has the following advantages. Since the latex solution 4 is previously injected into the air chamberlike body 13 and the latex coagulating liquid 5 is applied from the outside of the air chamberlike body 13 by spraying, dipping, etc., the air chamberlike body 13 can readily be held in the desired shape. Since a large amount of the latex solution 4 is soaked into the part of the large texture of the base fabric, the thick latex layer can be formed and the air chamber having excellent airtightness can be produced.
