PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extra-large diameter annular concrete block which is a united assembly of two half-divided bodies, easy to assemble, superior in workability, and high in strength and moreover hydraulic characteristics after assembling, and to provide a method of assembling the same. SOLUTION: According to the method of assembling the extra-large diameter annular concrete block, hole-in anchors 4 are embedded in a contact surface 1b of one of the half-divided bodies 1 at suitable intervals, such that an extended portion 4a of each hole-in anchor 4, having an extension element 5 attached thereto, is exposed to the outside and that a base portion of the same is embedded in the contact surface. Then through-holes 6, for allowing insertion of the hole-in anchors therein, are formed in a contact surface 2b of the other half-divided body 2 so as to be penetrated to an external surface thereof. Furthermore, the hole-in anchors 4 are fitted into the respective through-holes 6 to unite the half-divided bodies together, and the extension elements 5 are driven to extend the respective extended portions 4a, followed by applying or pouring adhesives 10, 13 to the contact surfaces of the respective half-divided bodies 1, 2 and into the through-holes 6, to thereby bond the two half-divided bodies together.
