PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the moist heat generation processing of cellulosic fibers, by which moist heat generation performance and washing durability can sufficiently be imparted without causing a problem such as the hardening of hand and discoloration or fading on the processing. SOLUTION: This method for the moist heat generation processing of the cellulosic fibers is characterized by adhering/curing an aliphatic saturated dicarboxylic acid to the cellulosic fibers to adjust the pH of the fibers at 5.0 to 8.0.
