PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pelletizer free from a fault in cutting and capable of manufacturing pellets stably, even for a resin that has high fluidity and a narrow mol.wt. distribution and has conventionally been regarded as being difficult to be cut, and to provide a stable, efficient pellet manufacturing method using the pelletizer. SOLUTION: In the pelletizer designed so that a high-flow molten resin extruded from the nozzles of the die face fitted to the tip of the extrusion cylinder is cut into pellets by a rotary cutter blade installed close to the end surface of the die face and then solidified by water cooling, when the cutter blade cuts the molten resin, the maximum value (ΣmaxWn) of the sum of lengths (ΣWn) of nozzle openings Wn with which the cutter blade contacts during making a round on the die face and the length Lx by which the cutter blade and the die face overlap satisfy a relationship ofΣmaxWn/Lx≤0.2.
