The first cover includes a first cover part disposed along a non-display region of the display panel. The display device further includes a plurality of second cover parts extending downward from the first cover part. The panel supporting part includes a first supporting part disposed between the display panel and the backlight unit. The first supporting part supports the display panel. The panel supporting part also includes a plurality of second supporting parts extending upward from an edge portion of the first supporting part. The second supporting part is disposed alternately with the second cover parts. The second cover parts and the second supporting part face the lateral side of the display panel.
