PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a functional material to another substrate having a larger area without causing decomposition of a functional material and without spending too much cost.SOLUTION: A solution 104 of molecules having a group bonding to a first substrate 101 is brought into contact with a first substrate 101 formed with a material layer 102 and a support layer 103 to form a molecular film 105 between the material layer 102 and the first substrate 101 by molecular self-organization of the molecules. For example, when the first substrate 101 is formed of Au, the first substrate 101 formed with the material layer 102 and the support layer 103 may be immersed in a solution 104 of an alkanethiol derivative which is a molecule having a thiol group bonding to Au. Consequently, a molecular film 105, which is an alkanethiol-based self-organized monomolecular film, is formed between the material layer 102 and the first substrate 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
