PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve traction performance and braking performance during running on a paved road, and wet steering stability.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire having two or more major grooves 21 which are straight grooves extending in a circumferential direction includes a plurality of partition walls 30 provided in the major grooves 21, and the plurality of the partition walls 30 are connected to the groove bottoms of the major grooves 21 as well as to the groove walls of the major grooves 21. The height of each partition wall 30 from the groove bottom exceeds 1.6 mm.
