A pair of traveling arms each supporting a series of clamping devices reciprocates the clamps into and out of the press daylight, in synchronism with the uncured panel feel device (usually a belt). Pref. the grips comprises suction cups or arms which can pivot out over the surface of the press and can be lowered and raised to contact and lift the moulding clear of the bottom platten before transversing it away from the press. Alternatively the lifting arms remain beside the press to raise the moulding for an independent travelling tray to remove it. Used for production of particle board of fibre board, esp. for glazed panels or panels faced with decorative foils or films and made on rapid cycling equipment: the lift and traverse action is less prone to tear or delaminate the freshly applied foil than devices which rapidly push or drag the panels out of the press onto a table or a traveling belt. |
