The front of the tractor has a lipped cross member on which the ballast weights are hooked by notches on their upper rear edges. If a front towbar is to be attached then some of the middle weights are removed and special weights (19) fitted in their place. The special weight has towbar jaws(21) at the front edge and is secured on the tractor by vertical securing bolts (23) positioned through the weight and the cross member. This enables the maximum weight to be fitted to the front of the vehicle, with the weights secured without distorting. An added security for the weights is provided by a cross bar (11) wedged between a lower lip of the weights and the bottom of the cross member (1).
