PURPOSE:To provide a writing instrument in which ink leakage can be further effectively prevented and ink supply can be further sufficiently executed. CONSTITUTION:A writing instrument comprises an ink tank 3, a pen core 4 for discharging ink, a pen core holder 6 for holding the core 4 in the tank 3, a transfer member 8 disposed in the tank 3 to supply the ink of the tank 3 to the core 4, and a cap 5 covering the nib of the core 4 at the time of no use. In order to prevent the ink leakage from the core 4 by the increase in the internal pressure of the tank 3, the external opening 32c of an air passage 60 formed at the holder 6 and the member 8 for communicating the interior of the tank 3 with the atmosphere is sealed by the cap 5 at the time of no use. |
