3-Isothioureido-acrylate esters of formula (I) are new. In (I), R1 = 1-8C alkyl or 3-8C cycloalkyl; R2 = 1-6C alkyl; R3 = 1-4C alkyl, 5-6C cycloalkyl or 5-6C cycloalkenyl; R4 = H, 1-4C alkyl or 5-6C cycloalkyl; R5 = H, Q, 1-4C haloalkylpyridyloxy (opt. substd. by halo), naphthyloxy, 1-6C alkoxy, 1-6C alkylthio, BZ' or Q'. Q = PhO, PhS, pyridyloxy or pyridylthio, all opt. substd. by halo; Q' = phenylamino, opt. ring substd. by halo and opt. N-substd. by one or two CHO or 1-6C alkyl gps.. Bz' = benzyl, opt. ring substd. by halo and opt. methylene substd. by one or two 1-6C alkyl gps.. USE - (I) are pesticides, useful in crop protection, in hygiene, in material protection and protection of stored good. They are esp. useful on domestic and working animals. They are useful against insects and arachnids, e.g. lepidoptera, heteroptera, coeloptene and diptera. In crop protection, doses are 10-1000 (esp. 25-400) g/ha.
