PURPOSE:To detect deteriorated parts in a wall by a method wherein tapping is made on the wall surface of a building with a lift station that moves up and down along the wall surface, tapping sound is taken with a microphone as detected sound and computation is made to obtain crest factor of oscillation waveforms. CONSTITUTION:A lift station 5 for moving up and down is hung down along the wall surface 2A with a wire 4 extending from a rooftop truck 1. Initial setting for automatic inspection is made by inputting sizes of tiles and joints on the wall surface 2A with a switch operating part. Then, tapping is made with a hammer on the wall surface 2A and tapping sound is taken with a microphone as detected sound, and computation and analysis are made to obtain crest factor of oscillation waveforms. The detected results are sent to a computer 8 with a wireless device that moves up and down, and the sent results are displayed on a screen 8a. In accordance with the width of the building 2, rails 3 are moved successively and detections are repeated to cover all over the wall surface 2A. |
