The invention concerns an absorbing device for the production of usable heat and/or cold from a refrigerating fluid comprising a separator and a mixer, the separator comprising serially mounted a heating tube (172), a fractionating column (170) and a condenser (174), the fractionating column comprising several inlets (A1, A2, A4) each corresponding to a predetermined of the refrigerating mixture and several outlets (S1, S2, S4) associated with these inlets and also corresponding to a predetermined but different composition of said mixture, these inlets and outlets being distributed all along the separator, the mixer comprising several cells (176, 178, 180) of which at least a first one (176) substantially connected to the top of the fractionating column and a last cell (180) substantially connected to the base of the fractionating column, and the other intermediate cells (178) being selectively connected to different outlets of the fractionating column at a level corresponding to their composition.
