PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intuitively know which position in a three-dimensional space a pointer indicates by deciding and displaying the shape of the pointer on the basis of the distance between the position coordinates of the pointer and the gaze coordinates of an operator, a set maximum distance, and display conditions. SOLUTION: A pointer shape storage part 3 stores display conditions of the pointer. A gaze coordinate setting part 5 sets the gaze coordinates (x1, y1, z1) of the operator and the maximum distance (depth) Dmax from the gaze coordinates (x1, y1, z1). A distance arithmetic part 6 calculates the distance D1 between the position coordinates (x2, y2, z2) of the pointer and the gaze coordinates (x1, y1, z1). A pointer shape decision part 7 decides the shape of the pointer on the basis of the maximum distance DMAX set by the gaze coordinate setting part 5, the distance D1 calculated by the distance calculation part 6, and the display conditions stored in the pointer shape storage part 3. Then the pointer in the decided shape is displayed at a pointer display part 8.
|
