<p>A method and apparatus is disclosed for treating asthma and other respiratory conditions. A medicament comprising a surface active phospholipid (SAPL) is prepared in the form of a fine powder and administered to the lungs in a gas stream. A preferred SAPL is a solid blend of dipalmitoyl phosphatidyl choline (DPPC) and phosphatidyl glycerol (PG).</p> |
