The invention concerns a level sensor-switch, in particular for a motor vehicle tank comprising a measuring capacitor (12) designed to be placed over the whole height of the tank and adapted such that its capacitance varies repeatedly with the level of liquid in the tank and a reference capacitor (11) designed to be arranged at the base of the tank so as to be permanently immersed, the measuring and reference capacitors (11, 12) being powered by and connected to an interpreting electronic circuit. It comprises switches (3) controlling the charge and discharge of the capacitors whereof the functioning is timed by clocks periodically emitting beeps querying the instantaneous value of the capacitance of the measuring capacitor (12). |
