This invention relates to a coupling used to couple a draughting vehicle and a trailer. According to this invention the tow ball is mounted on a member which is fixed to a pivotal torque element, which is resiliently yieldable under torque and may be arranged in such a manner as to permit relative vertical movement of the ball on the pivoting axes of the torque element. This type of coupling allows a trailer to be towed over obstacles like gullies and steep inclines normally found in off-road terrain. |
