PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing assembly capable of controlling the flow of the lubricant by reducing reversed guiding of components, improving a flow of lubricant, and reducing wear of a guide face. SOLUTION: Two thrust races are separated by a plurality of rolling elements relatively rotating around a common shaft of the thrust races. A spring washer engaged to a support surface and applying an axial load to one of the two thrust races is axially arranged outside the two thrust races. The two thrust races, the rolling elements, and the spring washer are held together as an assembly by, for example, an axially extending case having a radially extending lip for facilitating handling and attachment of the thrust bearing assembly.
