PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new applications of leflunomide based on new knowledge in which leflunomide inhibits Akt signal pathway. SOLUTION: The present invention provides leflunomide used for inhibiting activation of Akt signal pathway and leflunomide used for suppressing cell proliferation to activated cell of Akt signal pathway by inhibition of activation of the pathway and practicing induction of apoptosis and use of leflunomide as a medicine containing effective dose of leflunomide and preventing and treating diseases based on inhibition of activation of the Akt signal pathway.
