<p>A channel sounding apparatus and method of a terminal in a wireless communication system are provided to allow a terminal, which uses a number of antennas for signal transmission and reception different from each other, to transmit channel sounding signals to a base station via every antenna. A baseband modem(401) generates channel sounding signals as many as first and second antennas(409,411) of a terminal and output them to an antenna switching unit(403). The antenna switching unit(403) switches the channel sounding signals to each corresponding antenna. Transmission and reception switching units(405,407) are connected between the antenna switching unit(403) and first and second antennas(409,411), output inputted channel sound signals to corresponding antennas(409,411), and output data signals inputted from the antennas(409,411) to the baseband modem(401), respectively.</p> |
