PURPOSE: To automatically select a local information program of a region in which each terminal is installed by constituting a device so that selection of regions is automatically performed, when a local information program is requested. CONSTITUTION: When operation for calling a data base 3 is performed, this terminal equipment is connected to a central processing device 30 of the data base 3 through a communication control device 2. At this time, telephone number information of a terminal equipment is outputted to the central processing device 30 from the communication control device 2. When the terminal equipment is connected to the data base 3, a selection menu is displayed on a video receiver of the terminal equipment. When a local information program is requested, a user performs operation for calling the local information program according to the displayed menu, the central control device 30 discriminates an installed region of the terminal equipment in request based on information of a telephone number previously sent, and automatically selects and calls a program memory in which the information of the region where the terminal equipment is installed is recorded. |
