[Also in Division C3] A pharmaceutical composition having hypoglycemic properties comprises a salt of a benzamoloalkyl-benzenesulphonyl-urea of formula: where Z is -H, -CH 3 , -OCH 3 , -F, -Cl or -Br; n is 2 or 3; and R is a cyclo-pentyl, -hexyl, or -heptyl, 3-methyl-cyclopentyl or 4-methylcyclohexyl groups, with an anion exchanger resin e.g. polystyrene containing quaternary ammonium groups e.g. trimethylbenzyl-ammonium or dimethyl-ethanolbenzyl-ammonium groups and a pharmaceutically suitable carrier.</p> |
