PURPOSE: To provide a coupling device for automobile propulsion shaft which can be formed compact at a low cost in which a constant velocity joint and a spline shaft member can be precisely connected to each other. CONSTITUTION: A spline shaft member 2 is integrally connected to the outer ring 3 of a constant velocity joint 1 by welding or through the same member, and the outer diameter of the part other than the outer ring 3 is set smaller than the outer diameter dimension of the outer ring 3. The track groove center O1 of the outer ring 3 is off-centered on a boot 11 side, so that a spline part 12 are the track groove of the joint can be simultaneously molded.
