<p>A tool holder comprises a sleeve (3) adapted to be fitted into a tapered hole (2) of the main spindle (1) of a machine tool, a shank portion (4) inserted through the sleeve (3) while allowed to effect relative movement in an axial direction, a flange portion (5) provided integral with the shank portion (4) to abut against an end face of the main spindle (1), and an elastic member (6) provided between the flange portion (5) and the sleeve (3). The sleeve (3) is formed at a part of its circumferential wall portion with axially extending slotted portions (3a), in which elastic bodies (3b) are provided.</p> |
