The imaging system has a group of relatively spaced measuring layers stimulated for nuclear magnetic resonance in each imaging cycle, one after the other, with detection of the resulting magnetic resonance signals via an applied gradient magnetic field. The stimulated groups for the different measuring cycles are offset from another, with variation of the gradient magnetic field from one cycle to the next. The nuclear magnetic resonance distribution in a reconstructed image layer is provided by the magnetic resonance signals fo the measuring layers on either side of it provided by respective measuring cycles. |
