PURPOSE: To attain a communication equipment having high flexibility of transmission speed, high noise resistance and high communication efficiency and capable of quickly and surely catching synchronism. CONSTITUTION: The spread spectrum communication equipment for controlling at least a spread modulation part 1 and a spread demodulation part by a CPU is provided with a sampling module for inputting a received spreading signal 3 at the 1/n (n is an integer >=2) period of one-chip sending time and forming a received sample group and a data judging module for detecting correlation between an extracted sample group obtained by extracting one bit from the received sample group and an existing sample group for spreading codes and converting the spreading signal of each bit in the received sample group into '0' or '1' digital data.
