Method for growing a single crystal

A method is described for growing a single crystal by evaporation of a solvent from a corresponding droplet which is held without contact in a stationary sound field (sonic field). In order to set a specific concentration of the solution in the droplet, a stock of solution having a predefined concentration is placed in the process chamber at a distance from the droplet, so that, via diffusion processes between the droplet and the stock of the solution, the desired concentration of the solution in the droplet is set.
