Adjustment of null position of piston engine valve actuator armature - has adjustment of armature element position while measuring and comparing inductance values of electromagnets

The inlet valve [2] of an internal combustion engine is moved between the open and closed position by a electro magnetic actuator [1]. The valve has an armature plate [3] that reacts to electromagnets [4,5] on either side. Coil springs are also fitted on both sides [6,7]. The normal position of the valve is adjusted by measuring and comparing the inductance of two electromagnets while an adjusting element [9] is used.
