PURPOSE: A portable phone having an SIM(Subscriber Identity Module) card using an idle contact as a contactless interface is provided to drive an SIM card connected to a portable phone by using the idle contact of the SIM card after attaching an internal antenna to the portable phone in order to receive data in a contactless mode. CONSTITUTION: A portable phone having an SIM card using an idle contact as a contactless interface is comprised of a main body(100), a battery(300), a PCB(600), an external antenna(700), an SIM card socket(230), the first socket contact(241), the second socket contact(242), a smart card chip(200), the first chip contact, the second chip contact, and an internal antenna(500). The main body(100) is for communication and the manipulation of an IC card. The battery(300) supplies power to the portable phone. The PCB(600) is an aggregate of electric elements to execute communication and information processing. The external antenna(700) transmits and receives signals with the portable phone. The SIM card socket(230) is formed at the rear side of the main body(100). The first socket contact(241), connecting the SIM card and the portable phone electrically, exchanges information on the Internet. The second socket contact(242), formed on the PCB(600) and connecting the SIM card and the portable phone electrically, exchanges information through the internal antenna(500) by wireless. The smart card chip(200), installed at the SIM card socket(230), executes a data processing and input/output function. The first chip contact, formed on the surface of the smart card chip(200), is connected to the first socket contact(241). The second chip contact, formed on the surface of the smart card chip(200), is connected to the second socket contact(242). The internal antenna(500), formed around the PCB(600) or at a suitable position, is connected with the second socket contact(242). |
