Presensitized color proofing sheet and method of obtaining an image on one substrate. The color proofing sheet is comprised of a light-sensitive color layer (16) of a diazo oxide and a pigmented resin compound, a light-sensitive binder layer (14) of a mixture or reaction product of a resin and a diazo oxide, and a non-light sensitive solvent resistant barrier layer (12). The light sensitive binder layer (14) being free of color pigment is disposed between the color layer (16) and the barrier layer (12) in order to prevent background discoloration of the image formed on the substrate in the color layer.
