<p>PURPOSE:To execute a cleaning effect by photosynthesis by immersing granular active humus in a water source, installing an open tank and forming a packed bed in the open tank. CONSTITUTION:The granular active humus 2 is immersed in a pond 1. The tank 3 of the type opened in the upper part is installed above the pond and the packed bed 6 of microorganism holding carriers is formed in the tank 3. Aerobic conditions are maintained in the water in the pond 1 by the oxygen in the atmosphere dissolved naturally from the surface and the water receives sunshine. The cleaning effect by the symbiosis effect of aerobic microorganisms and algae is thus effected. The granular active humus 2 immersed in the pond 1 is gradually dissolved therein and the propagation of the aerobic microorganisms is accelerated, by which the BOD removal and other effective biological treatments are executed.</p> |
