PURPOSE:To obtain a paste composition for medical service having osseous hard tissue-forming action containing an alkaline earth metal hydroxide, a polyhydric alcohol such as an polyalkylene glycol, alkali-soluble cellulose derivative such as cellulose phthalate acetate and water. CONSTITUTION:The aimed paste composition contains 20-60 pts.wt. alkaline earth metal hydroxide [e.g. Ca(OH)2 or Mg(OH)2], 20-60 pts.wt. polyhydric alcohol (e.g. propylene glycol or polyethylene glycol), 0.5-5 pts.wt. alkali-soluble cellulose derivative (e.g. hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acetate succinate) and 5-20 pts.wt. water (preferably 40-50 pts.wt., 20-30 pts.wt., 1-2 pts.wt. and 10-15 pts.wt., in turn). Said composition is stable and able to be preserved for a long period of time, and further able to be readily mass-produced with a simple producing method in a low cost. Curing time is able to be steeply shortened in using to dental clinic without requiring sterilized tools. |
