Automotive brake with combined electrically-operated brake and hydraulically-operated service brake

An automotive wheel brake (1) has an electrically-operated brake (2) with a brake lining (17), a hydraulically-operated service brake (3) with a brake lining (20), a brake disc (6) and saddle (7). The electrically-operated brake and the hydraulically-operated brake are both integrated within the brake saddle. The service brake (2) is operated by an electric motor (14) with a gear (15) and spindle (11). The service brake is linked to the vehicle hydraulic brake system. The brake disc consists of two components and has an axially-movable friction ring (8) linked by teeth (13) to the wheel hub (9).
