<p>The present invention relates to a sports game that uses a game element in the shape of a ring. The game involves maintaining two teams of players on a surface which is provided on a base and is divided into two equal portions by a net. The teams are placed on either side of the net and the players transmit and correspondingly receive the ring until it contacts the base within the area of the surface or outside said area. The ring is received and transmitted using the hands, the feet, the head and the body. The player interacts with the ring by hitting, throwing or rotating said ring using any portion of the body and without maintaining the ring in an immobile position. During the game, the players make one or more passes with the ring to the players of their own team. The surface may be surrounded on its perimeter by an elastic barrier. The ring-shaped game element can also be transmitted or received by bouncing on the elastic barrier. The ring may be made of an elastic material and have a longitudinal section in the shape of a polygon, mainly a regular polygon. The surface of the ring may be provided with a luminescent coating or the ring may be made of a luminophore-containing material. The ring can further be hollow and made of a transparent material defining a cavity that contains light sources and supply unit therefor. It is further possible to use a ring of the hula-hoop type.</p> |
