PURPOSE: To provide a CDMA spread method and a CDMA terminal by which an orthogonal code satisfying the condition of an HPSk(hybrid phase shift keying) can optimally be assigned. CONSTITUTION: A 0-th orthogonal code (Cch,256,0) for a spreading factor 256 is assigned to a control channel (DPCCH). Furthermore, a 1st orthogonal code (Cch,4,1) for a spreading factor 4 is assigned to a 1st data channel (DPDCH1) and a 2nd data channel (DPDCH2), and a 0-th orthogonal code (Cch,4,1) for a spreading factor 4 is assigned to a 3rd data channel (DPDCH3), they are multiplied and are subjected to multi-code multiplexing and the resulting code is transmitted.
