FIELD: production of superhard compact material based on diamond and / or diamond similar modifications of boron nitride. SUBSTANCE: method allows to produce compacts with high operational characteristics. Preliminary compacted mixture of powder of superhard material with 3 - 90 volumetric % of one of iron group metals prepared as ultradispersed monocrystallic powder with particles sizes of 100 - 1000is placed in apparatus of superhigh pressure and shock wave with front amplitude of 1 - 25 GPa is acted on it.
