PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display automatic gamma calibration system for adjusting a data driver reference voltage and a method. SOLUTION: To build up a method for adjusting and calibrating an external reference voltage of a data driver in a new display device, an automatic gamma calibration system and a group of data drivers connected side by side thereto are provided, the automatic gamma calibration system outputs adjustable gamma voltages, the gamma voltages after adjustment are given to the data driver to drive the operation of the display device so as to effectively prevent a gray scale loss and reduce the manufacture cost.
