PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can automatically restore a sharp original image even when an original going to be copied is a copy original and its image is deteriorated or the original is defective. SOLUTION: Using image data acquired by image reading retrieves image data of an original-generation original going to be copied on the basis of image data stored in the image forming device and the image forming device restores the image based on the retrieved image data.
