PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for correcting a color in a digital image captured by digital photographing. SOLUTION: A method 100 for correcting a color in an image 48 is provided. The method 100 includes identifying (102) that the color in the image 48 is included within a set of selected colors 56, matching (104) the identified color 58 with a corresponding true color 66, and generating a substitute image 68 using the corresponding true color 66 in place of the identified color 58.
