SEPARATION AND DEMOLITION METHOD FOR STEEL CHIMNEY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation and demolition method which prevents the scattering of deleterious substances such as dioxins and heavy metals by making the separation and demolition of a steel chimney performed before curing for the demolition and removal of incineration facilities, in the case of the demolition and removal of the incineration facilities polluted with the deleterious substances such as the dioxins and the heavy metals. SOLUTION: A duct for a dust collector is connected to a duct or a casing of an induction air blower which is connected to the steel chimney; hanging means are installed in the upper and lower positions of the peripheral side surface of the steel chimney, respectively; an upper end opening of the steel chimney is sealed with a cover material; a sheet material is attached to an outer peripheral surface of a connecting portion between a duct from the side of the steel chimney and duct from the side of the induction air blower; the steel chimney and induction air blower are separated from each other at the connecting portion in a state in which the inside of the chimney is kept in a decompressed state by operating the dust collector; the approximate center of the reduced portion of the sheet is sealed in two locations; after that, its intermediate portion is cut; and a bottom anchor flange of the steel chimney is separated from a foundation so that the steel chimney can be brought down sideways while being lifted.
